Profile Questions
I wanted to explain my reasoning behind the Profile Questions.
Relationship Status: This question is private since the answer is none of anyone's business. The reason I have asked it is to get a feel for demographics. Anyone who wishes to may include this info in the About Me PQ.
Family Status: This question is also private since the answer(s) may be quite personal. Again, I ask it for demographic purposes. This is definitely the type of thing you may wish to include in the About Me PQ though. Adoption Process can mean you've already been through the system or are going through the system. It is not meant to distinguish between "biological" children and "adopted" children.
Country of Residence: Some member profiles include this information under their picture. I have made this PQ required for those that don't. It is not kept private because I feel it is important to know in the broadest sense where a member is coming from, not necessarily for demographics but culturally-speaking. For example, there is a difference in having a baby in Canada as opposed to the United States.
City and/or Province/State of Residence: Some member profiles include this information under their picture. The reason I ask the PQ, which is not required but is kept private, is for those who don't want other members seeing their location but don't mind sharing it with the administrator for demographic purposes.
About Me: Pretty obvious why this is here. It is required but how much you put in is completely up to you. You may share your answers from previous private questions or put a silly tidbit that makes you unique.
