- -Married for 20.5 years as a stay-at-home-Mom with 5 children, and then divorced
-I then went to Universtiy & shortly thereafter College for a combined 5.5 years
-I have 5 grandchildren; so far
-Motherhood taught me 1) a lot about meyself 2) that every child is very different requiring different methods while raising individuals in a family setting 3) each has something different from the other to love 4) No matter how old children are, they are still affected by divorce 5) You can do the very best you can to raise your children properly (although you are not perfect yourself) but in the end they are the ones that decide what they do and who they will be 6) You are still a mother even after they leave home but it is harder because now you have to keep your mouth closed at times while they live their life and go through their own experiences.
